Send missed Verizon calls to your agent
Verizon uses one code to forward the calls you don't answer, and one code to switch forwarding off.
Agents can't take phone calls yet. These steps are for when your agent has a phone number, and they work with any number you want missed calls sent to.
In the codes below, NUMBER is your agent's ten-digit phone number. Type each code on your phone's keypad and press call.
Turn it on
Forward unanswered calls to your agent
*71 NUMBER
Dial *71 followed by the agent's ten-digit number and press call. For example, *71 703 555 0142.
Turn it off
Turn forwarding off
*73
Unanswered calls go back to your Verizon voicemail.
Good to know
- *72 followed by the number forwards every call, so your phone stops ringing. Use *71 if you still want the chance to pick up.
- If your plan doesn't have unlimited minutes, Verizon bills a forwarded call the same as a call you answered.
- Verizon can't forward to an international number.
